GENERATIONS of CHANGE

Inspired by Matt Armour's song, I looked for  the signs of each generation in the East Neuk of Fife.

Fife was described as "A Beggar's Mantle Fringed with Gold" in tribute to its rich farmland.

Fishing is still important, with Pittenweem a major fishing port, bringing in prawn, haddock and lobster.

THE NEW DAYS
With fewer fish to catch, tourism is important. Golf, yachting, funfairs everywhere, and polytunnels for early fruit and vegetables, wind turbines to provide energy, and a place to dismantle oil rigs.

Matt Armour wrote this lovely song many years ago. It has been recorded a number of times. The paintings come with a copy of the song....
